On the Santa Cruz Wharf

Rental kayaks from the Santa Cruz Wharf can easily access kelp beds and cliffs where otters, seals, sea lions and many other marine animals live. Rent from the wharf and paddle the wildlife-rich waters of the Monterey Bay Sanctuary near the Santa Cruz coast. The rental office is located at #2 Santa Cruz Wharf, near the Main Beach and Boardwalk. For mapquest directions to the wharf, the closest street address is 125 Beach st. We are in the first building on the east side of the pier. We also rent sails and other accessories. Includes wetsuit and all kayak equipment.
Beginners are welcome to rent open-deck kayaks. To rent closed deck boats, you must be able to perform a self-rescue

Summer Rentals
Summer rentals are from the kayak rental office on the Santa Cruz Wharf, May 31-Sept 30;
Mon-Fri: 10:00am-7 pm
Sat-Sun: 10am-7pm
Last boat goes out to sea at 5:30 p.m.

Winter Rentals
Winter rentals from the Wharf are by appointment only. Call the Kayak Hotline @ 831 427 2267

We are open 11am to 5pm on nice weekends, and most weekday mornings after 10am
